I had the opportunity to cover the Great Good Fine Ok show when they came through Houston on November 15th, the final show of the tour. Joined by Camera Cult, the two synth pop bands put on an exciting show. This was my first time seeing them live and they did not disappoint.
The show began with Camera Cult; an indie synth-pop band debuting in 2015. Their amazing stage presence caught the attention of the crowd. Although most of the crowd hadn’t heard of Camera Cult before the show, they definitely became fans after their performance.
Brooklynn synth-pop duo Great Good Fine Ok began in 2013 when Luke Moellman and Jon Sandler met. The morning after their first meeting they wrote their first song, You’re The One For Me. When they came onto the stage there was a lot of excitement in the air. They played many songs from their latest album, “III” such as “Take It or Leave It,” and other fan favorites including”You’re the One For Me,” and “By My Side.” The crowd was one of the most engaging and excited crowd that I’ve seen in a long time. The band never missed a note and Luke even joined the crowd as he played his key-tar.
